Samsung U600
I've fallen in love with the colour purple of this phone...
but, it really isn't about the colour! Is the phone any good!? Before I go and spend near enough £100 could anyone tell me, is it worth it? I know the U700 is now out but the reviews don't look so inviting. People seem to prefer the U600... Anyway, any opinions? Thanks

I had a bad experience with this, very poor firmware, awkward to use and buttons with a life of their own.

The Samsung software for downloading pics to PC is also filled with more bugs than you can shake a stick at.
The internet is full of pages of folks complaining of difficulties downloading said pics and looking for help. I wouldn't have one |

I've got the G600 which is apparently the next model up and I couldn't be happier with it.
I've got a Bluetooth dongle for my laptop, so the photo software doesn't bother me. |

I have the U600 and it's the best phone I've ever had.
I really, really love it. Don't be put off with the reviews where people have just had a bad experience.. I've had a great experience, and there are many more of us. Sure, the software disc didn't install properly on my PC.. lol, so I had to download it online but it was only an hour out of my time.

I wonder if there has been a new version of the firmware, this would explain the different experience. Not sure how it could cure the button/slider problem though.
