compare them on the samsung website

http://www.samsung.com/uk/consumer/d...XEU&fullspec=F

I think they are the same spec.

The R88 has the blue trim I think.

100Hz that's for fast moving images isn't it? Shouldn't need it for boro games

just fyi, I had a Samsung LCD 40" Nov 2006, I noticed it had a picture flicker at top of the screen within 3 months from new. The Dixons helpline fogged me off that it was my Sat box "put a DVD in you will see everything is OK ", I said I don't watch DVDs, come and check it out. They refused. A few months later I contacted them again, as getting worse, and they finally submitted my problem to Samsung, who quickly sent an engineer round - he confirmed PCB or screen needed replacing, which would be handled by a technician visit. This was bullshit, as the tv was collected a week later and sent to a Samsung tv repair outlet @ Brentwood. The weekly feedback from this repair centre was appalling, so I complained to Samsung and Dixons, after 3 weeks without a tv (they made false promises of a free loaned tv!). I determined from my invoice docs that Dixons customer charter was repair within 28 days or offer replacement new tv or money back - after being an absolute pain in the arse to them - I got my £925 back after 6 weeks without tv - my tv could not be replaced as out of date! - and bought a new Plasma 42" Panny for £789 from digitaldirect.co.uk, and have been totally satisfied with the service of a smaller Company.
Good luck with whatever you decide !

I don,t have the V/BOX, just use the Samsung lcd, in bedroom, saves me a lot of argies with the other half..

Have you got the unit up and running? "whats your opinion"
suggest you have a look in the AV forums site, might pick up some codes for your req-s...
