Try Richer Sounds they're doing a Denon 1507 with Tannoy FX speakers for £400. The speakers are not the best but the 1507 will give you a good start into home cinema. It has a reasonable variety of connections, optical and coax for full 5.1 sound and built in decoders for both DD and DTS sound from DVD. The new HD DVD formats are catered for with a multi channel input for the newest DD and DTS sound formats.
This will allow you to connect your tv audio out to the receiver for prologic surrond IIx and a DVD player for full digital surround sound.

Sorry not been able to put a link up ,but from the front page of the site select the DVD/ Home Cinema tab at the top. Then choose the Home Cinema Separates. It's the second system, it contains 6 speakers, 1507 and the Denon 1740 DVD player. Total cost £399.95.
Hope that helpfull to you Dave
