Anyone watch Come Dine With Me today?

That Lizzie was supposed to be a vegetarian, yet she ate salmon wrapped in bacon and fish cakes, then served (and consumed) fish pie.

Plenty of vegetarians eat fish.. I used to. They are called pescavores or pesca-vegetarians.

I did not eat bacon though.

No, they're called pescetarians.

The word vegetarian doesn't apply to fish eaters.

I hate to be picky but vegetarians don't eat fish. The Vegetarian Society and Animal Aid have both done big campaigns to try and teach people that fish aren't vegetables and vegetarians don't eat fish. It's attitudes like that that see fish labelled as vegetarian in restaurants.

Strange about the so called vegetarian in the OP though.

Vegetarians DO NOT eat fish. My challenge to anyone who says they do is to find me one fish product in a supermarket
that has the "Suitable For Vegetarians" stamp on it.......no-one has managed it yet

Or as my hubby calls 'vegetarians who eat fish' - meat eaters who eat vegetables!

How did they manage to wrap a fish cake round the salmon?!

Thank you for the information on that. Now I know exactly what type of vegetarian my nanna is! She eats fish despite being a vegetarian, yet even she doesn't know the exact name or term for what type of vegetarian she is. I am sure that she will be very interested to know when I tell her!

Plants fall into that category, don't they?

So you bumped a six year old thread? I'm sure googling it never crossed your mind.
