He looked like he belonged in the Agatha Christie story - well, actually he looked like he belonged in ANY Agatha Christie story.

I absolutely agree. Looks like it could be from the end scene of that episode, which I expect will be a take off of the usual end of a detective story. The Doctor and all suspects in a sitting room, before he pipes up with "I have gathered you all here tonight to reveal the murderer, blah,blah,blah"

It certainly looks as though the vicar is hiding something. The reason I believe he could be the monk, is the speculation around Doctor Lite episodes which suggest
