Ideas for BB9/10 - What do we want?

Seeing as BB9 is drawing very close, I just wanted to know everyone's ideas for BB9 and maybe BB10 and what they'd like to see from them. Here's mine:
1. Big Brother: Jury House - A seperate one hour program each week that shows the jurors in the jury house. Would start the week after the second juror is evicted from the house, in between the veto and eviction episodes. The first episode could be:
a) First juror evicted from house - Their thoughts on eviction / being a juror.
b) Juror enters jury house - Thoughts on new house, who they want to win, wouldn't like to be in the jury house with etc.
c) Footage of first juror on own - Would be boring if the whole show is focused around just one juror, so thats why the first show is a combined first / second juror.
d) Second juror enters - This would be around half way through the program. We see the jurors watching the competitions etc.
f) Footage of jurors.
g) At end usual "who will be the next person evicted from the house? Who will be taking a trip to the jury house? Find out live..."
The the show would follow basically the same formula as the first week, except of course only one juror would enter in the weeks after. I think it would be an interesting look into what goes on at the jury house and what the people are like without all the pressures of the game.
2. Back to picking veto players - I was much better when the players picked who they wanted to play the vetos. There was a much higher chance it would be used.
3. Harder HOH's - The best ones IMO are the endurance ones.
p.s. happy new year everyone! Have a great 2008!

There's only 2 things I really want, an 'all strangers' house...no secret pairs...and NO interference from America, just like the UK & Australia, they can't be trusted to get it 'right' - just let the season play out on it's own.

Yes, I forgot about those. We do need a house of strangers this year. The endless relationship twists, while I have found them quite interesting, are getting as ridiculous as the Australian BB one's. We need a normal house, because then we will see the dynamics developing from the start, rather than them being predermined. Having partners / enemies is basically predetermining alliances.
The America's Player twist was completely awful. The whole idea of changing the format was that the public didn't have a part in what went on. They should stick to America's Choice and thats all.

I think it'd be nice to let the viewers at home know that there will be no twist, but have big brother pretend to the housemates that there is a twist and watch them pick each other apart over who knows each other

I think the America's Player twist will be back in some form. It appears to be vindicated by the fact that last seaon got good ratings, and it also played out quite well with the way that the twist had a very direct impact upon the game, and definitely influenced the final result. I don't think theres any going back now.

I didn't like it either, though.....

I read that Alison Grodner said she wouldn't be bringing it back, but that the public may be involved in a different way. I don't see why they need the public to be more involved than America's Choice though.

I definitely agree that we need better HOH competitions. It isn't essential to cram the eviction and HOH into 1 episode. It really bugs me when an HOH is decided on a pointless tie-break

As we have two seasons this year, how about a "double trouble" theme, which would include:
- 2 HOHs each week, as in the first week of BB7. If they can't agree, both are up for nomination
- 2 vetos. The golden POV will remain the same, but they should add a one-shot platinum POV, which is hidden in the house somewhere (very like a hidden immunity idol in Survivor). The platinum veto can be used at any point, even to veto replacement nominees. Plus, the platinum veto holder can choose the replacement nominee (but obviously can't nominate HOH)

I like the idea of a platinum veto. Maybe they could give clues to it and are allowed to search for it for one week. If no one finds it, it isn't in the game. If they do, they can only use it for the next 3/4 evictions. I wouldn't like it to be available through the whole game, like the HII is in Survivor.

Not to defend Dick because I thought he was seriously gross, but he did get a number of warning for his behavior. He never made a big deal about them, and we know they didn't really work, but he did mention being talked to about his behavior in the diaryroom.

The Jen thing was a different situation which I think warranted her automatic eviction vote. After she was nominated she chose to behave like a spoiled brat and break the food restriction that she was put on when she won a previous veto. I'm not saying she deserved the treatment she got from Dick because no one does, but one thing does not relate to the other.

The timing was all wrong though. A penalty-nomination for a triviality like eating whilst no punishment at all for the HM who virtually assaulted her.

Almost as if BB was siding with the Dick.

I have to admit I didn't think the eating was trivial, since the reason she was saved previously was because of the veto, and she won that veto by promising to stay on slop. This is totally separate from what kind of punishment Dick should have received for being a big ass. I was quite liking Jen up to that point, partially because of how good she was at excepting that the whole thing was a game, but she acted like a spoiled child when she was put up for eviction imo.

I always found it strange how the whole house completely turned on Jen over the eating thing, as though it was the biggest crime ever committed on the show...same with a lot of fans, it seemed illogical to me that she took so much heat over that....but the housemates literally barely batted an eyelid or said a word when Dick was physically blowing smoke in her face and burning her with his cigarette...but what you say makes sense of it somewhat. BB USA is after all a game - stepping in when Jen cheated benefited them, it was to do with the game. Stepping in when Dick was being abusive wouldn't benefit them in any way and was nothing to do with the game.

I think that's seriously effed up of course, but that's what they are there for, we all know that.

Yeah and also I think they take the rules of the game very strictly in the US version, unlike our series in recent years where housemates break rules left, right and centre and BB barely bats an eyelid.

Id like to see a return to the late night show live.
No more hm connections, let it be all strangers.
More of the longer physical challenges,i loved the cage one in bb6 were kayser screwed up.Because they are playing for the HOH it should be hard for all players to win it.
Less of the julie chen bits were she discusses hms lives outside the house, those bits bored me.
Show us more of whats going on in the jury house.
