The ones that came with my ipod are a disaster, they just fall out, I then bought the apple in-ear phones that have 3 different size buds, and whil they work ok for walking about, If I'm jogging they also constantly fall out, any advice?

The Ipod uses standard 3.5mm socket so most headphones will work.

Someone at work raves about the Sennheiser CX300 headphones which he uses on his Ipod. He gave me a demo compared to the Apple supplied headphones and they are very impressive.

The Sennheiser CX300's are pretty neat but if you can stretch to getting some shures then i'd really recommend them. A decent set of headphones make a big difference to the audio quality. also there are quite a lot of fakes being sold on ebay so make sure that you're buying from a reputable seller

I used to have this trouble, I must have funny shaped earholes! I bought some with soft hooks that clip over the back of the ear, really comfortable to wear, and they don't fall out.

Heres some on Amazon, but if you do a google search for "in ear headphones with hook" theres lots of choices, depends how much you want to spend Argos do some for about £7 - http://www.amazon.co.uk/JVC-HA-EB70-.../dp/B000SKOY5E

Sony EX71s are good as well, they go right into the ear and also passively cut out external noise. I've been using EX71s for over 4 years now - must be on my fifth pair. They're about £30 though but well worth it. Looks like Amazon are doing them for just £17.50 - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sony-MDR-EX7.../dp/B00008XYJL.

I have the Sennheiser CX300s and would highly recommend them normally, but I don't think they are suitable for jogging at all. They do stay put but the wires catch easily. I think you need proper sporty ones or at least a recommendation from someone that jogs with them. Had a quick look on Amazon and there are a few specifically for sports with the addition of extra support round the bonce to keep them in place. http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_ss_...nnheiser+sport

In fact, I'm sure the recommendations for earphones for jogging/the gym has been asked here before. Might be worth a quick search.

I can recomend the Shure E2C headphones - they never come out (even when I am in the gym).

Also the sound great and cut out the outside noise.

They are a little more expensive than other headphones (£35 on the internet), but they are very good quality + you also get a 2 year warranty with them as well.

I recommend Creative Labs EP-630/A Earphones , £7.99 from Amazon, they are just as good as the Sony EX71 which are about £17.

I bought the Creative Labs EP-630 for a laugh, I was really laughing after hearing the sound quality since they were so close to my Sony Ex71's in sound quality.

Okay you can shell out £35 and more for Shure E2C headphones but I ask really how much better can they be against what I use?

Some people are obviously tone deaf.

Sony MDR-EX71SLW - If you cannot wait for a delivery
from buying online argos have them for £22.49.

Or if your ears are like mine Sony MDR-EX90 (£50)

I can't say compaired to the Creative Labs on Sony headphones, as I have never listened to them, but the Shure E2C's have blown every other in-ear headphone that I have heard (inc the Sennheiser CX300 (which I love with the bigger headphones they do)), but they are quite a bit more. You can hear things in the music that you can't hear on the other headphones, cut out the outside noise + also the bass on the other headphones is nowhere near as deep/loud as the E2C's.

I think the cost of £35 is not bad if you are using your iPod a lot and they also seem to last longer than other headphones (my friends get through a pair of other type headphones every 6 months where the thin cables keep going). I've had mine for over 2 years and use them everyday for the gym for 1.5+ hours.

It all depends on how much you use them/want to spend though.

another vote for the Shure E2Cs - i tried the sony ex71s and didn't get on with them - couldn't quite get them to stay in my ears as well as the shure's. and although they sounded great with bass heavy dancey tracks, found them lacking a bit with more guitary tracks.

When I did a search on Google I noticed that Play had down that they were selling the Shure E2C's at £29.99 with free delivery, but when you clicked on the link it did not even come up a price.

Maybe worth giving them a call to see if they can do that deal.

Here is where the link took you: http://www.play.com/Electronics/Elec...s/Product.html

Hopefully - I know sometimes when you do a search on Google it is old info, but hopefully they will let you have them for that price - good luck.

I did a search on Google in the UK with just searching on e2c if that helps (you can then cut and paste the £29.99 deal it shows into the EMAIL).

For £21 I bought a pair of Sennheiser CX300's and over-the-ear Sennheisers PX200.

Great value and great quality.
