I've tried that sort before, except they were Philips, but still the same. I found those black buds came over easily and once i lost one that was it. I didn't rate the quality of sound on them much either.

My ipod shuffle headphones served me well for a year, I am currently using

They are similar to those Sony ones except they fit a lot more snugly. They are very comfortable, though the sound quality could be better.

The only downside, just two replacement buds, if you could buy them seperately it would be better.

You've been through 5 pairs in 4 years? They obviously don't last very long and you still buy the same make and recommend them?

Thanks for that. I would expect them to last them at least a year. What the hell is njeo doing with them?

20 - 20,000 Hz - Normal hearing range for healthy young human.

Thus meaning the vast majority of people would not be able to hear any difference between any of those earphones based purely on frequency range.

You mean a small minority as the
vast majority can hear rather well.

No - I mean the vast majority.

As my original post stated, most people cannot hear freqencies outside the 20-20000 Hz range. Therefore it's irrelevant if earphones can play frequencies as low as 5-18Hz because most people wouldn't be able to hear them. All the ranges you quoted fell outside the normal hearing range at both ends of the scale, so few if any could detect a difference in sounds just by frequency range.
