Nothing quite hits the spot like a good greasy chinese with a portion of chips to bulk it out. One day I'll learn to make it at home and save money. But it'll have to be the proper stuff with all the grease and MSG lol!

Eurgh! supermarket Pizza is awful stuff imo.

But I do agree with you on the excessive price of Takeaway ones so if I can be bothered I'll make my own.

Still the Chicago Town Takewaway Pizza range isn't bad.

Pizza place by mine does a "student special" deal. It's £4.00 for a 10 inch pizza with a choice of 2 toppings, fries, a can of drink and a bit of salad. Me and my housemate like to take advantage of this offer, but I think we should stop it as out waistlines are expanding! Since I moved out of my parents house I've been getting too many take aways.

She always gets double pineapple on her pizza and I like to get sweetcorn and onion.

I love chinese too though, especially noodle dishes and chicken dishes with oyster sauce.

Supermarket pizzas aren't all bad - The Chicago Town Takeaway ones are great, and I love Pizza Express ones you can get in Sainsbury's and Tescos. Dr Oetker are vile though

I like supermarket Pizza...Especially the ones you can get made up. And they only cost 4 Euro. It's better to get a made up supermarket pizza with everything on it for 4 Euro then pay 9 Euro from a chipper for just a plain one.

Most supermarket Pizza isn't that wonderful, my mother would bring a different brand every week till we worked out what was nice and what was utter yuk.

The Dr Oetker and Chicago Town seem to be the good ones from all that I've tried over the years.

Can you tell I've never ordered from the Indian before lol I thought if the microwave ones are good the real stuff must be fantastic!”

I've had tandoori chicken mossalla once or twice and did find it rather sweet. Nice of you like that kind of thing but not if you prefere savoury.
If you fancy trying again order a Madras or Sri Lanka for something with more bite, or vindaloo or phaal if feeling very adventerous

Tikka Massalla from the supermarket is quite bland and isn't really very distinctive but when you have it from a restaurant it is very creamy and a bit like Korma.

I'm not really a big fan of takeaway type meals, as my parents used to have takeaway type meals so often, I grew tired of them!

But, if I had to choose my favorite takeaway meal, my local Chinese takeaway does this meal which consists of roast chicken, fat chips and some gravy, with the rice as an optional extra. I nearly always opt to have it with the rice, however.

I love Chinese
Sick of KFC but every time I go meet my sister for dinner it's the only place she eats.

KFC is the ONLY fast food I 100% truly enjoy having!

Italian for me.

And the best Italian Take away (and also the cheapest) I know has to be Santinos Diner near The Fort shopping centre at Newcraighall in Edinburgh. As an example any 12" pizza £5 with free can of juice, Small Pasta £2.50 AMAZING home made burgers (100% horse free!) only £3. Also the best home made soup you will ever taste @ only £1! I could not imagine a better or fairer priced takeaway exists elsewhere.

Chinese. Although KFC is my guilty pleasure every couple of months. Usually when I'm a bit drunk!

Chinese style seafood is my fav. My local does various dishes with monk fish, red snapper, crab claws, scallops, jumbo green lipped mussells and sea bass. Its more expensive than most, but well worth it.

Chinese every time, although my husband prefers I when he agrees on a Chinese takeaway. Don't think there is anything on the menu I don't like!

It all depends on what mood i'm in and if I can face letting someone else actually prepare my food for me.

I love chippy chips and will occasionally get onion rings with them.

From the Chinese I like to get either vegetable curry with egg fried rice or vegetable chow mein. It's hard to find a good Chinese around here though. There are 3 in one of my local towns but one of them is bogging and another one cooks all their meals with some sort of fish paste/sauce so none of it is suitable for vegetarians. The third one I haven't been to for years as it has no parking spaces nearby and you have to trek for ages back to your car afterwards.

From the Indian I like to get either a vegetable madras or vegetable bhuna depending on what mood i'm in, then i'll have either a garlic or a peshwari naan to go with it. Luckilly there are a few good Indians round here.

I recently (llike the other day) got a takeaway pizza for the very first time. I was feeling greedy so I also got chips from the chippy to go with it. I think it was one of my favourite takeaway experiences so far - definitely something I want to repeat!

Best takeaway has to be Dominos Pizza for me.

I must agree that Dominoes pizzas are good, but the ones that are served up at Santino's Diner (take Away) at Newcraighall are so much better. And at only £5 for any 12" pizza with a free can of Coke it just can't be beaten!
