Hi,
I'm allergic to wheat (not Coeliac, just an allergy), and I always know if I've accidentally eaten any as I get a mild itching sensation in my throat, a bit like hay fever symptoms. Just recently, this reaction has also started happening when I eat Galaxy chocolate, but I can't see anything in the ingredients that could explain it. I'm intrigued to know whether any other wheat allergy sufferers may have experienced this with Galaxy, and if anyone knows what the cause is? Many thanks in advance if anyone can advise.

Sorry you haven't had any more answers - I can't be of much use either, I'm afraid.

The only suggestion is to email Mars themselves and see what they might offer by way of an explanation - the chocolate *could* be manufactured in a production area that also deals with wheat based products - there must have been something that changed (production-wise) around the time you started having problems.

The coeliac in my family always used to be able to eat Galaxy - but have they not changed it recently? ( I remember people complaining about the 'new" galaxy on another thread)

Maybe check with the coeliac society. They have all the up to date info about foodstuffs.

ps - she can eat after eights ( if you need a chocolate fix )

Thanks for the advice, I appreciate it. I'll try contacting Mars and see what they say!

Thanks again.
