a email off them saying sorry you are leaving us . i also emailed yourcalls who said they dont hold on to lines unless you owed them money which i didnt as i pay by DD
so one saying one thing the other company saying something else. oh to get back to my bill its saying im down for anytime talk yet im still paying yourcalls .also its saying i have tiscali tv max not sure what tv package that is. as anyone else had the same problem

Hate to discourage you, but I have been with Tiscali TV since beginning of September and I still have not received a correct bill yet. Each month i have had to sit on the phone and talk to someone claiming to be customer service who attempts to put thing right. The most recent problem is that an add on charge has suddenly appeared for £6.00 which they cannot work out why I am being charged it. It also took me 2 months and literally hours of phone calls to be put on their phone calls and line rental, even though the bill stated I was on it. If I had not checked I would have been paying twice all quarter,

Nothing compares to the monthly suprise of how much my bill will be and how many times I will need to ring to find someone to get it sorted.

I also signed up for the TV, line rental and calls £24.99 a month package in September and have yet to receive the correct bill, i've been through customer services and sales and they are now telling me to go through cancellations, get them to cancel the account and re-set it up again!!! its madness. Only problem is cancelations are only open when i'm in work and i can never get through in my lunch break. its a reall shame cus i've beena tiscali customer for a number of years now and love the package and tv service but this is really driving me mad !

Cookiemonster you might want to take a look at the 'my account' area of the tiscali website. That will show you the packages or 'mixes' that are active on your account.

I think you can add or remove the mixes you have from there so if there is something that you don't want you can remove it without calling customer services I think.

It sounds like it might be for the 'Entertainment Xtra' mix which is free for the first few months then costs £6 after that. You will probably have been getting the UK Gold, Discovery, Eurosport etc channels free then Tiscali charge you 6 pounds but as I say I think this can be cancelled from the my account area of the website.

Hope that helps a bit.

In response to the last suggestion, on the 'my account' section I am showing the package I signed up for. This is the TV big pack for £29.99 (as opposed to what was the base pack for £24.99) which includes the channels that are now part of the £6.00 extra pack. You are correct that this is the add on I am paying for, but I already pay for these channels in the Big pack. So I pay twice. I should either be paying £24.99 for variety pack + £6.00 for add on, or the original £29.99 for the TV big pack. But not both. I do not show an add on in the 'My account' section.

Also I have spoken to Tiscali and they agree that I am right and they are going to refund me. My point is I have had to ring every month for the passed 5 months to sort out some problem with my bill. Why can't they simply set it at what I was sold and then leave it alone?

But thanks for the suggestion.

I do not know if this helps, but my package says tiscali max tv bundle and any time calls. This refers to tiscali (broadband) max + tv bundle + Anytime calls. So i don't know if your 'max' refers to your broadband. This said, the tv add on section tells me I don't subscribe to their tv so anything is possible!

Incidently, I did point out once that I had £10.00 of calls to customer service on one bill I was queerying and they did agree to refund it (although they did not refund other call charges I had been mistakenly charged and I was so fed up I let it go).

Jake as cookiemonster says the Max refers to the fact you have a package i.e if it was top speed broadband and calls it would show as Tiscali Max Unilmited + Anytime Talk. If you have TV it would show as Tiscali Max Unlimited + TV + Anytime Talk. I'm fairly sure that if it shows as Max your line rental should also be included with the package.

cookiemonster sorry my suggestion didn't help just thought that might have been the solution.
