Orange Premier used to be a set of tarrifs that offered prefered rates. I used to be on Premier 55. £55 per month for 600 mins and 200 texts and also dedicated customer service number (not 150) no menus to navigate just stright through via the hold music.

These days these plans are not offered. Panther plans are the nearest. I have been told that premier packs are just little gimmicks for high users. I do sometimes get premier customer service dialling 150.

but the gimmicks are 20% off accessory shop, free itemised billing and voicemail retrieval. and free memroy mate backup at a retail shop. no other freebies as such to my knowledge

Premier Customer Services deal with Panther customers and Invite Only Premier customers. And all that included is mentioned above, you do still receive dedicated UK based customer services which I think is worth being a customer for alone

LOL I thought Premier was solely based in Plymouth, and I didn't even know we had a call centre in Scotland.

i have been upgrading at cpw for the past 9 mnths, so generic handsets, since the change in upgrade rules this month i upgraded at orange retail. now orange have told me that free insurance on panther is only available from new contracts or upgrades made direct and not through the retail side. is this true??

change in upgrade rule was that if you are not in the normal upgrade period which is either 12 mnths or 9mnths depending on contract then only retail and upgrades direct can be used.

i was in month 4 of my contract and always upgrade for £50 fee. this time i went into cpw and they said they couldn't do it, then tried p4u and got same response, called orange and they confirmed. if you are still in contract and wish to upgrade early it cannot be done by 3rd party anymore!!!

just spoke to orange about premiere customer services and about inclusive orange care.

1. orange care as of march 06 is no longer included with panther and is chargeable at £6 per month.

2. being on panther doesn't automatically qualify you for premiere service. as i asked as i no longer get through to them when i call.

i was told for my questions about premiere and how upgrade bandings work, that it depends on average monthly spend, usage, and payment frequency/account management.

i did miss a bill about 4 months ago and had a bar put on and since no more premiere.

yeah up until nov just gone you could use 3rd party suppliers for early upgrade, but something about mis selling and proactive calling has made orange change the rules which is a shame as i prefer the unbranded handsets and software!!

We don't. Premier is based in Plymouth from 08:00 to 22:00, and in Darlington from 22:00 to 08:00. I'm in Plymouth and am in a middle pod of 3. Premier one side and Liberate the other

Jury seems to be out on this one. In the Orange Retail magazine, it says you get dedicated CS on Panther. It seems to be luck of the draw though, as I've transferred customers through to Premier who are on Panther 75 etc and they've refused to take the call as the Premier Flag is not on their account. I will check and get back to you.

Oh, and Liberate is the staff tariff. You get a seperate team of CS for Internal customers

EDIT:

Looking at http://shop.orange.co.uk/shop/yourplan/online

Under the Panther Plans, clicking on "Show Details"

I just got a letter from Orange today informing me that my " complimentary period" for Premier is now over and if I wish to continue the service I would have to pay £10 pm.

Nobody told me this was a time limited service!! I think I will be leaving Orange in 3 months time when my contract is finished. Their upgrade phone choices are rubbish as well.

If you got that letter it means your spend isn't high enough to qualify anymore, basically...

£45 is not high for contracts now when they go up to £100 i think its only for people who are on £50 and up.

However Panther Tarrifs are automatically dealt with by Premier - so choose one of those tarrifs.

£45 quid per month starting for that tarrif. It appears to be cheaper for new customers. I was offered a good deal to upgrade as an existing customer, but would have to pay £10 for Orange Premier.

So next week I will call Orange and no doubt be put back to an offshore call centre with their " special tarrif for you" chat.

You'd think so, but not all people on Panther get put through to us.
