Big-faced, potty-mouthed, reedy-voiced irritant with some of the worst lyrics in musical history.
Still, given that she's part of that group of artists that the likes of NME wank themselves silly over, I don't think she'll be bothering the charts much in 2008. The people who bought her stuff in 2007 will now turn their attentions to the new batch of female singer/songwriters who have their "Winehouse alternative" labels firmly attached, ready to make their way up the album chart.

Of course she can sing! You just dont like her voice. There is a difference.
It really bugs me that people say that about singers they dont like. I dont like Westlife, but they can sing. I dont like The Gossip, but the lead singer can REALLY belt em out.
Anyway, I have been "forced " to listen to the album a few times by th OH and now I really really really really really really like her!
Love her - saw her back in March before Foundations was released with a crowd of about 100, and she was absolutely spellbinding. I do think she's had success a bit too quick, her album was rush-released and had a bit of a 'half-finished' feel to it.
And I don't think she's anything like Lily Allen - more Regina Spektor to me.

She wishes she was as brilliant as Regina Spektor.
Just listened to 'Mariella', it's not something I'd listen to too often, but it's surprising how many people I know who are just like the Mariella she describes! :P
