Loathe.

I had the misfortune of seeing her at a "promo gig" a few months back. I get the feeling the entire crowd hated her.

I rather like her. She comes across quite wierd in real life but I love the song, Birds!

Big-faced, potty-mouthed, reedy-voiced irritant with some of the worst lyrics in musical history.

Still, given that she's part of that group of artists that the likes of NME wank themselves silly over, I don't think she'll be bothering the charts much in 2008. The people who bought her stuff in 2007 will now turn their attentions to the new batch of female singer/songwriters who have their "Winehouse alternative" labels firmly attached, ready to make their way up the album chart.

Loathe.

Her voice reminds me of fingernails down a blackboard.

She's a pretty girl but that's as far as it goes.

I love her...her music is fun and quirky!!
She's done so well and I feel she's gonna carry on doing well in 2008.
Roll on March 10th!

saw her on buzzcocks last nite and to me she didn't seem happy to be there.

That accent is annoying thogh. Simon amstell kept taking the piss out of the guy from blue but he should have directed this at nash fo rthat accent.

She'll probbably be on the bill as an extra in a few years when the public cop on to lack of talent ie singing and writing

Of course she can sing! You just dont like her voice. There is a difference.
It really bugs me that people say that about singers they dont like. I dont like Westlife, but they can sing. I dont like The Gossip, but the lead singer can REALLY belt em out.
Anyway, I have been "forced " to listen to the album a few times by th OH and now I really really really really really really like her!

I like what I've heard. I'm interested enough to want to hear more.

From what ive seen of her on tv (mainly Jools) at least you dont get a replica of her record. She really performs with feeling.

Loathe.

Her lyrics are terrible.

I quite like her songs, but when she annoys me when she moans on about being linked to Lily Allen.

Love her - saw her back in March before Foundations was released with a crowd of about 100, and she was absolutely spellbinding. I do think she's had success a bit too quick, her album was rush-released and had a bit of a 'half-finished' feel to it.

And I don't think she's anything like Lily Allen - more Regina Spektor to me.

Sexy signing voice?...

Her lyrics and signing are just a particularly annoying girl on her mobile set to music...

I've listened to her music a lot but I just can't like it.

There are many better female solo artists out there. Regina Spektor, Cat Power, Joan As Policewoman, Feist...the list goes on....

She wishes she was as brilliant as Regina Spektor.

Just listened to 'Mariella', it's not something I'd listen to too often, but it's surprising how many people I know who are just like the Mariella she describes! :P

loathe her.

her lyrics are really stupid and imature, when she gets older or grows up a bit i hope that she listens to them and cringes with embarrassment.

In our house we play a game called 'Make up some Kate Nash lyrics'.

My effort for now:

I decided to go to the kitchen
To get away from the bitch-in'
And my mum put on some carrots
That were the same colour as some parrots

Then i decided to run far
and found a really nice bar
but the bar was full of gingers
and lots and lots and lots of mingers

Can't stand the woman.

Hmm. To write lyrics like Kate Nash, you must think like Kate Nash.

I've got it!

I shall call this one "Coco Pops."

Uh-oh, I'm running low
On Coco Pops
Looks like I need to go
To the shop(s)

But in the end, I didn't bovver
I just found a box of
Rice Krispies
Mmm, I like these.

Copyright 1234xyzzy 2008. Don't go nicking these, Kate. (That rhymes too!)
