I didn't put my point across very well. Not saying that people who don't like her are sexist, I didn't mean posters on here.

There are reasons to like her and reasons to not. However some people who don't like her tend to be really extreme about it.

Ergh...... She can't sing..... She can't write..... Yet she is the darling of the hip crowd.... God help them.

I'd have more respect for her if she had more respect for other artists in the music industry. Her snobbery towards others still astounds me , considering she's only been mainstream for a year and writes lyrics like I used to do when I was 8.

Hate her - had The Hits on at my gym in Warrington tonight and they had decent and certainly acceptable music on. Then she came on and I went and changed it straight away, not giving a care what song was on as long as it was good. (Leona and Bleeding Love was on.) I gave my opinion on her on the Brit nominations thread - it is disgraceful IMO that garbage like her gets into the nominations.

Sadly it's symptomatic of how UK music has fallen in recent years that she has been successful. The only thing I'll say about the Lily Allen comparison is that she makes Lily Allen sound like KT Tunstall.

I cannot understand how come kate is so hated by some people. personally, i love her music and i think the album was one of the best of last year (particularly love mariella and skeleton song) but i can see why some people may not like her style e.g. her voice and her lyrics are not to everyone's taste.

However, it seems people genuinely hate her as a person just because they don't like her music which i think is unfair as i believe kate comes across extremely well as a person. To me, she seems humble and just a normal girl but maybe that's just a personal opinion.

I for one am glad she's been recognised by the Brits and I hope she wins, particularly for Foundations as that was just my song of last summer (a great alternative to ella-ella-ella eh eh eh lol)

Can't really comment on Nash as a person TBH, but generally unless there is something awful they've done I wouldn't have a prob with them. I've just downloaded Mr Rock and Roll and have heard the rumours about Amy Macdonald's alleged comments about the English, so no harm done there!

I just judge people on their music and I'm afraid she's just so so poor. Having said that to publish lyrics and songs like hers suggests something not so great to her.

I'm a bloke and I like her and that she's not off a conveyor belt. Funnily I prefer Mouthwash and Pumpkin Soup to Foundations though that's cool too.

Apparently she's becoming very popular in the States at the moment after performing at a few clubs. I hear they've been playing her video on MTV there too. I think she's alright, but her songs get boring quickly.
