Ipod Plug Thru' Dab Or Fm ???

Hi

New to forum so first of all apologies if this question has been asked before.

I own a 2nd Gen Video Ipod and have various speaker docks around the house (Bose,JBL etc).

What I would like to know is if there is a DAB or even FM receiver that you can plug into the bottom of the Ipod which can in turn be docked to a speaker therefore providing both your Ipod library and radio ?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Im not sure, but i think your asking if there is a radio that has the ipod dock connector to use in a dock, with the ipod on top?

I dont think anything exists to do this, however, if the dock has line-in, you should be able to connect a personal DAB radio or something to it via a cable betweeen the headphone socket and line in on the dock.

Cheers for the replies...

What I’m actually looking for is something like the numerous FM transmitters that plug in below the Ipod but instead of being a transmitter being a DAB or FM receiver, which in turn can also be docked to my existing speaker docks providing the additional radio.

For example:-

This type of item is available but once in use does not allow you to dock the Ipod to a speaker.

Thanks

So basically your looking for something that will make DAB and FM play on your ipod whilst plugged into your Docking system?

It isn't really clear but this might work?

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Griffin-iTri...sbs_ce_title_3

http://www.amazon.com/DLO-007-3000-i.../dp/B000BNKIV2

Whether either is compatible I can't say....

Cheers for your reply

http://www.amazon.com/DLO-007-3000-i.../dp/B000BNKIV2 is the type of thing i am talking about (but for a 2nd Gen Video Ipod) but once this FM reciever is plugged into the bottom of your Ipod it will not allow the Ipod to be docked to a speaker (eg a JBL on stage)

Thanks

The only ones available that don't use the dock connector are like this, that connect between the iPod and earphones, but because of their connection location, the sound will not run through the dock.
