Now it is said for awhile that he is doing it and i have to say i love him! I've loved watching him play since i was like 4. I saw his last professional tennis match in April and it was so good that he sent Great Britain into the World Group play-off tie with his last ever shot.
I think he is absolutely fab and think he will do well.

Has been spotted in training by one of the Blueroom skaters and looks very good apparently

That is what i like to hear! I think he is partnered with Kristina and in that case they've put the Canadians together.
Rusedski to win DOI3!

I really hope they are partnered together!

I wasn't happy with Krisitna being put with Stephen last year and I think that Greg + Kristina could become a great partnership. I hope so anyway

I like Greg Rusedski too & great partnership there with Cristina.

I met or rather bumped into him in 2005 at Wimbledon, he just finished his last practise session, then he lost to a Dutch or Scandinavian player, I think it was 2nd or 3rd round, can't remember.

He was tall & actually goodlooking & he was smiling & nodding at just about everyone.

you are so lucky.
He lost to Joachim Johansson in the second round of Wimbledon 2005. He lost in 4 sets - the final scoreline was 7/6(10) 3/6 6/4 7/6(5). I was also there that year and i managed to see Tim Henman practice before he lost to Dmitry Tursunov in 5 sets.

Priggy I love Greg too, I can't wait to see him...I'm just wondering if his height might hinder him like it did with Stephan a couple of years ago.

I was lucky enough to catch him play James Blake at Flushing in 2005...I think my sis and I were the only pro-Greg in the crowd

I think he'll be just fantastic and i don't think his height will hinder him.
Who are you thinking about by the way - the only people who have struggled with their height have been Sean Wilson and Stephan Gately and that was because they were the same height as their partner i.e. small.
Now i figured it out Stefan Booth - i don't think he had a problem with his height did he? David Seaman was taller than him and he was good, so was Lee Sharpe and Kyran Bracken.

I think it my have hindered the grace of dancing, if he can get away with great lives ala Seaman, and do a little bit of graceful dancing he'll be super. I agree he'll be fantastic

I remember him on Celeb Millionaire... he was getting really into it and having mini-arguments with his wife about the answers. He seems a very competitive guy who would go into a game of tiddlywinks against a child with a 100% will to win. Good news for Kristina after last year's fiasco!

Yes...he's very competitive, just look how irate he got when someone in the crowd shouted out at Wimbledon 5 years ago, he's very passionate about his committments...good luck to him

Was that Roddick match? Rusedski was right to be angry with that!

In a week we shall be able to see Rusedski take to the ice!

Sportsmen always do well in SCD & DOI so I think Greg could well go on to win it.

I've been traumatised on the Tennis Thread by someone ( Chia, you know it's you) saying that if Greg did DOI then Tim could do Strictly.

That thought, especially of Teem in Lycra and spangles has given me sleepless nights. but good luck to Greg. I'll definitely be watching.

Hi tally, its nice to see you. Maybe Tim can do it next year, i would love to compare them off the tennis court.

I like Greg - and I agree he is likely to be very competitive, Steve Backley too is competitive, although I don't think it can be said of all sportsmen. I'm thinking of gentle giants David Seaman (DOI) and Peter Schmeichal (SCD).

I've heard of very few on this year's competitors list, but then I supported Claire Buckfield last year, although I'd never heard of her. As for Tim v Greg, I always preferred Greg, but with his less bulky build I could see Tim making a successful skater.

So could I. He's excellent at loads of sports, notably golf.

It's the image of him in a shirt slashed to his waist, trying to look sexy in the Argentine Tango.

Trying to look hip in the jive would be almost as bad dont you think?

(I wont think of it, but will watch Greg's progress in DOI instead)

I was ridiculously excited when I heard Greg would be taking part. He's awesome!!!! Andy Murray who?! I know I'll be supporting him and the programme's not even started yet!! And if it's true that he's with Kristina that would just about make my year!

Confirmed that Greg is skating with Kristina. Apparently if they get to week 2, Greg will be doing the one arm lift over the head.

I am not a tennis fan, but Greg looks like he could be a lot of fun!

Clip of them all being revealed here. To me Greg looks like possibly the weakest but am going to wait to Sunday!

I really hope Greg does well. He seems such a nice bloke and I like Kristina too. I agree with Cat123 that this is a dream partnership!

I like both Greg and Kristina too. I hope that they do well in the competition.

I would love to see the one-handed lift promised for episode 2, should they get through but I will be away on holiday.

I just hope that they will still be skating at the end of January when I return home!!
