hi guys i bought a 30" - 63" Fixed Wall Bracket plasma mount for my hitachi plasma tv.

just wanted some advice please.

i test fitted the bracket on the back of tv.

i noticed theres 3 holes on back of my tv, for mount 2 holes, top and center which are just there ready for mount to be screwed in and bottom theres a blanking screw in the bottom mounts.

question is will it be ok to mount bracket on just 2 each side?

i have included pics of what i mean, its a univerasl mount so hopeing it will be ok just looks smaller than some when fitted on my at back.

Yes, two is normal - if the set has more fixings you 'may' be able to drill a matching hole in the bracket, but this isn't usually possible.

I've fitted lots of TV's on walls, two each side is perfectly fine!.

Make sure the screws are long enough, but not too long - about half an inch into the TV's threads is fine - it's often a good idea to fit large washers (mudguard washers!) under the screw heads as well.

I assume mounts come with universal fittings, I have my PC Monitor on a wall mount and that had extra holes in it, the lcd only had four holes.

I'd check the instructions careful, that will make one hell of a bang if it drops off the wall.

does it matter if the mounts smaller thank the width of the rear of tv?

a guy told me you got to watch wall brackets as they weaken over time due to the weight constantly on them?

It's a piece of quite thick steel plate - nothing is going to happen to it!

I've fitted a lot of that exact bracket, they are quite easy to do!.

thanks nigel i managed to screw bracket of wall i did a quick test with my weight on it and it never budged so hopefully its ok.

now each bracket you screw 2 bolts in each to the back of my tv i looked at the bolts that come with the bracket and apparently the ones i need are the small m6 bolts theyre small about 15mm can these take the weight as they are tiny screws???
they are very small screws ( screw thread about size of my finger nail)

sorry about all the questions its just its my first time haveing one on the wall and just panicing a wee bit and thinking these tiny screws wont take the weight as the tv is 64kg.

or should i buy diffrent screws?

Obviously you can only use screws that will fit the threads in the TV, and presumably the TV manufacturer has used threaded holes large enough, and like I said before aim for about half an inch of screw inside the TV.
