A question for Tiscali users

What is the reason of you choosing (and staying with) Tiscali?

For me, it is mainly their TV on demand function. Virgin media has the same but doesn't seem to have as big collection. Tiscali has free music video on demand as well if subscribed to music pack.

Prices of Tiscali might not be the lowest though.

I went for it simply because I can't get cable or Sky in the flat where I live.so far its great, after freeview and Tutv only I'm like a hungry man at a buffet.

Been a happy customer for 5 years (previously Homechoice) - So loyalty for me I guess.

Been a customer for 3 1/2 years. I originally went with Homechoice because it was the only provider that could offer 8MB broadband in my area at that time. And since then, due to reliability of the service - I have stayed loyal. I just hope Tiscali can keep the service running as smoothly as Homechoice used to.

Fast reliable broadband and TV for free. The low number of customers has been an advantage to me. I used to have Zen and its just as good. I really want HD and PVR but VM is out due to lack of Sky (plus very bad memories).

The On-demand is the only thing I can be bothered to watch, I cannot stand advert breaks and haven't sat through one in many years. The concept of not being able to stop a program to answer the phone or go to the toilet seems totally unacceptable to me now.

Initially it was quite simply my only choice (not in cabled area, can't have a dish, poor freeview).

It's the cheapest subscription method all round.

Pioneering of VOD/replay, but I do wish all customers got C1

Free evening and weekend calls included (old package) was also a plus.

I've had the service nearly 3 years as Homechoice was my only choice for 8mb broadband and digital tv at the time and still is as i can't have a dish

Have to say i've not had a single problem with the service yet but i'm dreading being switched over to Tiscali as i have no faith in them whatsoever as a company, had dial up with them years ago and it was a farce even then! I hope i'm proved wrong as i do like the vod and as i said my service so far has been totally reliable, which in a way will make it more frustrating when Tiscali start to cock it up!

I think the service is great. Having been with other broadband providers and had sky tv, I have endured the worst service possible.

I've now had tiscali broadband for over 3 years with very few problems and the ones I did were dealt with swiftly and efficiently.

When I upgraded to Tiscali TV I had the box installed within 2 days! The first box unfortunately was faulty after a week but they replaced it straight away. Even the engineers would call to let me know if they were running late.

The costs are not a factor to me, I'd be happy paying anything as long as the service remains just as good.

Only had Tiscali TV for a couple of months now but had their broadband for nearly 2 years.

Never had a problem with the BB so thought I'd take the plunge and go for the TV.

I'm so glad I went for it. Channel line up is really good (Sky One being a particular bonus), the on demand is fantastic and blows Sky's anytime service out of the water.
The picture quality of the DSL channels is excellent, even on a 42" Plasma.

Having the option to subscribe to Sky Sports was a big plus point for me but I'm not really missing them since cancelling my actual Sky Satellite subscription. Good to know the option is there if I start getting withdrawl symptoms.

Will be upgrading to the PVR soon and with the potential of HD on the way, I'm very happy.

One slight grumble is the lack of Living TV to keep the better half happy.

I really hope HD will be a reality for Tiscali soon, as this is really the only thing Sky is better than Tiscali.
