There are so many underrated songs- although maybe I'm only saying this because they're some of my favourites of the year.

Basically: She's my man by the Scissor Sisters
He said he loved me by Reverend and the Makers
Bigger then Big by Luciana/Super Mal
Kiss you off by the Scissor Sisters

These have also been, for me, the best along with:
Teenagers by My Chemical Romance
Oh My God by Mark Ronson/Lily Allen
Back to Black by Amy Winehouse
Shut up and Drive by Rihanna
No No No by Girls Aloud
Ruby by the Kaiser Chiefs
Grace Kelly by Mika

There are so many worst ones- the music has been pretty dull this year. I could have done without...
Most R&B- some is good, but most drives me mad.
Almost all rap.
Almost all clubby dancey stuff- there's too much of it.
All the droney indie 'rock'- ditto.
Mika post Grace Kelly isn't so much bad as overrated.
Leon Jackson- When you believe
That Spice Girls one.
That Katie Melua/Eva Cassidy song.

LOL at your username, by the way.

Paramore- Riot
See, everybody seems to love Paramore, and I can't see it. I haven't heard their album though- maybe I just heard a dodgy song.

My chemical romance
OK, so some of their new ones aren't as good but still...
I Disagree Entirely!

*ducks to avoid retaliation from sevral posters *

most indie bands
Agree here though. I have no idea how it gets through- it's so dull! For example Paulo Nutini. Why? And Scouting for Girls etc. It's not music- it's talking in tune.

Kate nash
Her songs are OK when it comes to the tune but she isn't the best lyricist. The wording seems really clumsy in places.

-Most anticipated?-

I can't keep track either. Especially when songs from other years creep into the annual best/worst lists on Music Channels.

I think there are far more overrated songs than underrated. The number of times this year I have looked at the top ten list and wondered how on earth any of those songs became that popular. It beats me how the X factor winner sells so much as well. None of them are all that brilliant. The dull indie music also managed to get sales. How? The lyrics aren't great, the tune isn't great, you can't dance or song to it, it isn't powerful or uplifting or enigmatic- it's just dry. How does it sell so much?

What emo rubbish? Everybody keeps naming songs that I just have not heard! I think I'm missing out on something.

I've been putting up with bleedin' Timbaland and Paulo Nutini all year by wathcing the Hits! I wouldn't have minded some of this mysterious 'emo rubbish' or similar!

If you say so.

All of these bands (except maybe Panic) have had great chart success this year, and that's not down to kids, who are more likely to download from LimeWire etc.

The Plain White Tees? I'd have put them in with the droney indie bands such as Scouting for Girls, even though Plain White Tees are slightly better than most of them.

My Chemical Romance and Fall Out Boy aren't really emo OR kids music.

I haven't heard anything by Panic! At the disco so I can't really comment.
