Anyone under the age of about 25 because all they get is babytalk from the judges and Tess, and it's infuriating to watch, and anyone over the age of about 55 because they never seem to do that well :s

I am not ageist or anything, but the older contestants have struggled or have had to pull out for health reasons, this is both unfair on them and their professional partners.

GMTV?

Surely, you don't watch that rubbish.

Fully agree with this comment.

The BBC has been completely obsessed by Eastenders for as long as I can remember.

They appear to have this smug self-belief that everyone is totally familiar with the programme, even Brucie has a regular tendency to talk about characters whom, they seem to automatically assume, we are expected to be familiar with.

While obviously it does have its followers (though I can't for a moment think why), the BBC should remember that we are not all fanatics, and that life does exist beyond Walford and it's dreary, overly aggressive and depressing lifestyle.

TONGUE IN CHEEK.......Reading the above, it seems like we have ruled out:

Anyone only famous 'cos they have been in BB or are married to someone famous;

Anyone under 20/over 55.

Anyone on gmtv

Anyone in Eastenders

Anyone who has had any dance training (well, that sort of rules out just about everyone in the acting profession!) [OK, perhaps extensive dance training was meant, but who draws the line and where???]

Doesn't that sort of rule out just about everyone (other than sportspeople) who would be even remotely interested in taking part?

For the majority of the year it is probably BBC's highest rated show.
And Matt D, Letitia, Louisa, Jill have all been in EE but its not like they couldnt dance= Jill won it, Matt was runner up and Letitia and Louisa were both quater finalists- So whats wrong with having celebrities that can actually dance.

But back to topic- I dont mind who is on it as long as they can dance- even just a lil bit but if there is another Kate Garraway who stays in the competition week after week thats just stupid because she just couldn't dance.
Sorry about my lil rant. Rant is now over

My top hates would be:
Victoria Beckham or any WAG
Anthea Turner
Heather Mills
Pat from Eastenders (she says they DID ask her!)
Adrian Chiles
The blonde How Clean is your House woman

BUT just for comedy value I would love to see Dorofee (June Brown) from Eastenders with Brendan Cole - I bet her tango would be wicked and probably quite scary!

I'd add to that:

Ziggy, Chanelle (or any BB contestant)
Pauline Quirke
Kate Thornton (one of the most irritating people on TV ever)
Anyone else from Eastenders
Anyone else from Spice Girls
Jo Brand
Harry Hill
Lowri Turner
Mark Frith
David Dickenson (one Rumba I'm not up for)

I just wanted to add Mark Frith - I know he's already been mentioned but he is so objectionable he's worth mentioning twice...

I agree about no EE members.
I love EE as a show but every single year we get the whole of the queen vic in the audience and its getting quite tedious.

Agree with Heat & Soaps, and guess if we include Sylvia Young we have to include the Italia Conti....

(Not leaving much to choose from, are we?)

To send over anymore (bad) dancers from GMTV will be a complete joke.
Definite no to Lowri Turner - for the sake of the male pros.

Who I would love to see banned:
Anyone who has came to fame through reality TV
Anyone famous for who they are married to/going out with
Tess and Vernon
Those who have had controversies i.e. racism, drugs - people like that should be let sink and not given publicity
Anyone with something specific to plug - it is understood that it is generally a career boost, but if they have something in the pipeline then they can publicise it normally
Anyone inexplicably famous - famous for being famous, not for anything they've done
The kind of people Celebrity Big Brother/I'm A Celebrity would target and get
Mark Frith

Who there can be problems with, but would not like to see banned outright:
BBC employees (claims of favouritism) - this is highly unlikely though!
Very young contestants as then you get "but they're only **"
Older contestants - personally I really liked Willie and Stephanie, but older contestants seem to be voted out early
Eastenders actors - if only for one year!
Stage school products - but then you'd only have sportsoeople left, so unlikely!

But um... they have to be valued at £25k or under for 3 months work!

That might seem like a lot to us, but it's tuppence in the entertainment world.

I don't think there's anyone left after that lot's been knocked out!
