Well I don't see a subway appreciation thread here.

I like Subway, I either get the Meatball Marinara there or spicy italian.

I used to eat Subways all the time when I lived in Australia. Love em

Only idiots eat at Subway. There are far better sandwich shops in every town, and have been for years. But just because Subway advertise on TV, people want to eat there. The increasing idiocy of people in this country amazes me.

I totally agree. We have a place in our City Centre that offers sandwiches that are miles better for much cheaper, Subway is the McDonalds of sandwiches.

local sandwich shops are usually a million miles better, and offer better value too.

I think it's the smell with Subway that gets you hooked, it's very like Mcdonalds. I've only used them a few times but it's my nose that's dragged me in.

For taste though, I'd go elsewhere, or even just buy a baguette and some spread or filling myself and save a couple of quid.

I used to love eating a meatball marinara from there, until the guy in front once had to request the "bit of bone" not to go in his sandwich....bleurghhh. I had a look and indeed there was some bone lying next to the beef!

italian bread, tuna and cheese melt, lovely. Had a few of them in Orlando.

To make a point about other places to get sandwiches, other places only really have cold sandwiches.

Oooh no, I was thinking of one Deli type sandwich shop that does hot Sandwiches to die for. The price is cheaper than Subway, and the choice on the menu incredible ! Not in a sub - but absolutely gorgeous.

Theres a few in my town. I have been to it a few times and I do like it alot but I havn't been for a while. I like to make my own sandwiches Subway is better then Mcdonalds in my opinion. Everytime I think of Mcdonalds I feel sick and I hate the burgers anyway

Yep, Subway is a lot better than McDonalds, and healthier too. My personal favourite has to be the Chicken breast 6 inch sub on hearty Italian bread, with tomatoes, lettuce and mayonnaise.

Southwestern cheese steak with olives, gherkins and jalapenoes!

Although not a patch on a Rick's Cheese steak from Reading Terminal Market in Philadelphia!

I too think Subway is too pricey for what you get; local sandwich shop/bakery is much better. Although I prefer to make my own - you can get sub rolls in shops, just add your own own filling, lovely!

Meatball subs are tasty though..
