Is Plasma TV any good for Video Games?
My apology if this has been dealt with elsewhere. My son had a ps3 game console for Xmas and he now wants an HD Ready TV to go with it. I had been enquiring about the Panasonic TH-42PZ70B plasma TV, but a friend is trying to talk me out of it because of the tendency of plasma TVs to develop screen burn. Is anyone running any video games on their Panasonic plasma TV and is there any issues they might want to share? Would an LCD TV, not originally my first choice, be a more sensible compromise – for games and occasional TV viewing? Thank you.

Screen burn isn't such an issue these days from the reviews I have read, but when I do read a plasma review they talk endlessly about the many anti screen burn procedures installed and how to avoid it, not doing stuff with it for the first hundred hours viewing and setting contrast levels to this than and the other.
![]() Now when I got my LCD panel all I had to do was plug it in and watch it.
