Jez did really well in that interview, and as you say he really is very mature and poised for his age.

It's quite interesting to see someone within an interview setting after you've watched them in what was their home environment for 3 weeks. I think it certainly reinforces how genuine he was in the house and demonstrates again that interesting mix of confidence and shyness. Hopefully those aspects of modesty and honesty in his character remain throughout what we all hope is a successful career... I'm sure they will.

I agree, he has done very well to get where he is aged 20. After the protection of the school system,in this his first year of full time employment,he has had to get to terms with what it means to get famous and be very talented at the same time. IMO I think sometimes people forget that he is only 20 years of age.

It's funny how Jeremy always became quite shy when he was given a compliment.

It was also nice to see again how Jez, Emilia and Victor really seemed the most at ease when it was just the three of them.

Yes, it is nice to see that side to their friendship's and they are actually interested in what each other would be saying.

They really did seem genuinely interested in hearing about each other's lives.

Also interesting in part 2 of that clip when Jeremy names the four people he connects with in the house (perhaps further explanation as to why Amy increasingly became a supposed fan of Emilia and Victor ).

Thank you, AH59, interesting that Victor remarked on Jeremy's good features. I am still, to this day, amazed at the 12 out of 65 mark for looks that the others awarded him. I know Jez shrugged it off, as we had come to expect of him, as it was the latest knockback in a series of putdowns from BB, the celebrities and the hms. I remember thinking at the time, just how many more knocks can this guy take? The geek outfit that was specifically chosen for Jeremy for the Hollyoaks date was appalling in comparison to the tuxedos provided for Anthony and Nathan. It was lilke they all knew just how good looking Jeremy was and were in denial. Anthony, who was supposedly the handsome hm, LOL, was very lacking, even Latoya called him 'tit nose'. Amy explained that she had put Jeremy last 'because he could take it'...

I thought, the fact that Victor did remark as he did, showed how accepting he was of Jeremy as a genuine friend to both Emilia and himself, and when you consider it was only day 9 it is good to see for their future friendships.

Jeremy did seem to shrug off the 12 marks at the time but it was great to see that when he seeked reassurance from the one person that mattered to him, he was told that he was good looking. I notice neither Jeremy or Emilia would go lower than third best looking for each other even though they knew it would be used against them.

As you point out Jeremy was constantly on the end of putdowns from BB,Celebrities and most of the other housemates but he did take it in an "accepting" good humour as he already knew "it was all in the sake of comedy" and that Emilia,Victor and himself had been misled by the BB team. None of them went running to the diary room to moan and whinge but just got on with it. I liked Mckenzie Crook's appraisal of Jeremy in particular.

He takes the same good character traits to Motor racing, where he has had some bad luck/decisions go against him but does not moan or sulk when it happens but even more admirably treats wins and podiums with the same good grace.

Well done every one on Jeremy's appreciation threads for the hard work over the last few months. We have got some praise on the main Forum from wonkeydonkey

It may be a relatively short slot but it is going out on a mainstream channel at peak time. Metcalfe to appear on Channel 5's Gadget Show

Motor racing star Jeremy Metcalfe is set to return to national television screens this coming Monday, 6th October, when he appears on the opening episode of the new series of the Gadget Show on Five.

Fleet-based Jeremy is, of course, no stranger to mainstream TV having spent a month in the Big Brother house last January as part of the inaugural Big Brother: Celebrity Hijack show on Channel 4 and E4.

When approached by Gadget Show production team North One TV to take part in the first show of the 10th series of the popular programme, the 20-year-old British Racing Drivers’ Club (BRDC) Rising Star jumped at the opportunity.

While wanting to explain exactly what he gets up to on the show, Jeremy has been sworn to secrecy so you’ll have to tune-in to Five on Monday evening at 20.00 to see just what happens – it promises to be hugely entertaining!

Commenting on his Gadget Show appearance, Jeremy said: “Taking part in the filming of the first episode of the new series of the Gadget Show was good fun. When the guys at North One TV got in touch I didn’t hesitate to get involved. It was pretty mad but a good way to spend an afternoon!”

Jeremy has, of course, been competing in the Avon Tyres British GT Championship this year where he became a race winner and title contender during his maiden season of sportscar competition.

Prior to this, the Hampshire sensation enjoyed a successful three-year run in Formula Renault UK – a category won in the past by current Formula One World Champion Kimi Raikkonen and fellow Grand Prix driver Lewis Hamilton – having graduated to car racing in 2005. Jeremy was also named a McLaren Autosport BRDC Award finalist in 2006.

Not a very good view of Jez on the show but notably he was the only driver it seems who has not won a championship.He was appearing along side James Gornall and Jon Barnes who are the Br Gt GT3 champions. That is quite an impressive acheivement, I cannot begin to think what people in his championship think. Terrific PR, IMO you need to either win championships or appear on a reality TV show inorder to be known

You have to remember that Jeremy was all ready a "Rising Star" award winner in Motorsport and that is why he was asked to appear on BBCH , it is good to see that his personality/humour and continued racing achievements are giving him even more and varied media exposure .

Well, that was what you call a fleeting glimpse of the lovely Jez from Fleet! But, I agree, ucra, Jez was in very good company indeed, and I fancy that all of them enjoyed the occasion, and I am certain that Jez got to do some useful networking. Let's hope some of the discerning broadcasters pick up on Jez as he ticks all the boxes.

I was nervous about getting a lot of dislikers on the main forum to give us a hard time. We seem to have got about 2 who I would not really call dislikers,they are people who seem to have an opinion on everything. Not bad for a week on the main forum,probably down to the popularity of Jez imo
