Good to know that there are people out there somewhere interested in Jez news. The show was on Monday but the thread is still attracting attention

I was nervous about getting a lot of dislikers on the main forum to give us a hard time. We seem to have got about 2 who I would not really call dislikers, they are people who seem to have an opinion on everything. Not bad for a week on the main forum, probably down to the popularity of Jez imo”

Hi ucra, well done with your main forum thread. As you say, apart from a few, Jez seems to be a popular past HM and it's good to know people have continued interested in news about him.

It was a risk worth taking with a tabloid headline.Congratulations every body,we did really well, 2431 views is not bad for a 4 days work.At least we know there are people out there interested in what Jeremy gets up to.”

We are up to 3481 views on this thread. Not bad for a weeks work on the main Forum. The thread has been off pg1 for a few days now, some Jez popularity imo

It was great to get the bit of extra news on his website regarding Jeremy enrolling in a new degree course.

He certainly seems like the kind of person that would greatly benefit again from the university experience and furthering his education.

Do you think he will continue his racing in the British GT next season or perhaps move onto something else domestically? I am in awe that he is even able to contemplate studying and racing simultaneously (though not literally ofcourse )... true talent!

It is hard to tell at this stage whether he will continue in GT racing. We wait and see if he will give an interview to his fans,he might say something about that.

Jeremy has been racing since he was 8 yrs old. He has always been at school throughout his racing career. He only took out this last year,if you listen to his NUTS interview which happened after the first racing weekend of the season his mind was set on full time racing. IMO A lot I feel has happened which has made him change his mind.

However,a lot of opportunities have also arisen for him during this year. From what I have seen of motor sport through supporting him,imo it seems to be one of the most unstable careers I have ever seen. Going back to university means IMO that for the next 3 years he races in Britain,so we get to see him.He is not going to chase championiships else where,it also gives him an opportunity to strengthen his domestic profile for further racing acheivements.

The course itself IMO is central to anything he achieves from now on and it also gives him a cushion to fall back on incase the racing does not go his way. Motor sport seems to be about a lot of other things which are not related to talent eg money. He does not want to be in a vulnerable position,IMO he has done the right thing!
I suppose he is prepared for the challenge as well

Jeremy's dedication to both his education and motor racing is very admirable.

It certainly seems that his profile and support will continue to grow in the UK and his degree will be a great back-up for the future.

As you mention ucra, he would have had many things come up this year and something must have made it clearer to him that he wanted to return to uni. I think it's a good decision too and wish him the best of luck!

His popularity in the UK is now very clear, his buzz on the drivers database on Jezers Mates has been rising steadily without any racing or news.

We have now had a Gadget show appearance and a win.Since the news of the Gadget up to today he has gone from no 155 to 117,that is 38 places. 19 places since Monday and has appeared in the most buzzed top 15 drivers in the world for the last three days in a row.

Since he only races in the UK,his profile cannot be influenced from abroad. Next to Lewis Hamilton it seems he is now a very well known and liked driver and has a very large non motor sport fan base in the UK.

It will be interesting to see what really happens next,a course at Uni cannot prevent him from doing any thing, these are not 9am - 5pm studies,a person could have just a few lectures a week. He already has similar qualifications so it is even possible that he has some modules off the course.

*Not bad for Jeremy's 2008 acheivements to appear in this order on his website I am actually flattered that BBCH comes before the racing.I know it was before in relation to time but it has then been an important development and takes its rightful place*

I agree with you that it is a good decision to carry on with a degree course and Jeremy will know that for every paid racing driver there are probably 30 unpaid ones [certainly 20 year old ones].

The racing season and college terms nicely cogg together so he will be able to do justice to them both and he should also be able to find time for any other "commitments to his busy life"

It's good to know that his degree will give him the kind of foundation that other racing drivers don't have behind them if they can't secure sponsorship.

That's great too AH59 that the season and terms will allow him the opportunity to do justice to both things and, as you say, still find time for other 'commitments' or perhaps even 'good friends' in his life .

As ucra also mentioned, at uni there's always plenty of time outside of lectures and tutes (which from his talk in the bb house he quite enjoyed in his previous uni experience ).

Another example of Jeremy winning... not quite as impressive as Donington, but he does do a great job of annoying Jay .

Thank you so much mt111. I found myself laughing out loud, specially at the pompous John, all because he felt left out. He over-reacted, to say the least. What exactly was 'disgusting' about the convo between the lads and Amy, who was clearly loving every moment. They were having fun, but of course he wouldn't have understood this as he and the equally dull and loutish Anthony only seemed to find their kind of fun when bashing food around the house and garden. Laughed my head off at Calista's woeful ballad and Anthony making out he was interested. You just couldn't write a script - BB at its very best. Re Jez winning - he is so cool, he never overdid it, you could see and hear the others overplaying it. But not Jez. Quietly brilliant. So glad I had a quick look at the JAT as it was a real treat finding something I hadn't seen for a long time. What a laugh. Hopefully there are more to come.
