LCD screen problem
my 32ins LCD flat screen television has developed a screen problem - it is only 4 months old and has had very little and now I have a brilliant white dot on the screen about halfway between the centre and the edge of the screen - it is only noticeable when the screen is dark - can anybody tell me what it is please

Hot pixel perhaps but they are normally coloured...see...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dead_pixel Try taking it back to the shop. Some retailers will replace under warranty or give a refund if back if the fault is very noticable. Some will only do that if multiple pixels are stuck on. If they refuse try telling them there are at least three stuck pixels because it's a white not coloured. If he gets difficult.. Remind him that the law makes it his responsibility to sell "merchantable quality" products. A fault within 4 months suggests it wasn't of merchantable quality to start with and that makes it his responsibility not the manufacturers (yet). Some web sites say it's possible to fix but I've not tried this.. http://www.wikihow.com/Fix-a-Stuck-P...an-LCD-Monitor |
