cheers,

last christmas i gave the Sony DAV-DZ230 to my parents for their new Samsung LE-40F86BD lcd tv.
I plugged them together using HDMI and SCART (because we want the "normal" tv program coming over the sony system as well, not only dvd. The Sony DAV does not have any other audio in). Everything works ok so far.
The problem is that my parents now have two remote controls,
one for switching the tv programs (samsung remote) and one for the volume of the sound system (sony remote) which is quite annoying for them.
I tried to program the samsung remote so that it could operate the Sony DAV system but the (in the samsung manual) provided sony remote codes do not work for the DAV.
I wonder if there is any solution for this problem? Do i really have to buy a much more expensive samsung hdmi home theatre system just to be able to operate the tv and the system with only one remote control?
Maybe you have a solution for me! thanks
