Following on from the favourite pizza thread, where do you prefer to get your pizza from?

I much prefer Pizza Hut over Domino's and Pizza Express, as I like the deep pan bases rather than the thin ones.

Also, what is that stuff that Domino's put on the bottoms of their pizzas, which feels like couscous?!

Strangely I just commented I prefer Pizza Express on the last thread!
I find Pizza hut ones greasy and sickly! I used to like Dominos, but they don't deliver to my street anymore but I found it quite expensive anyway for what you get.

Pizza Express by miles - expensive but definitely worth it. Delicious pizzas and a pleasant dining experience Domino's ranks second and Pizza Hut a distant third. Cannot abide it: greasy bread with tomato sauce and thick, chewy layers of cheese. No thanks.

Pizza Express, pretty authentic for a chain. Pizza Hut serve Americanised pizza.

Pizza Express. The restaurants can be very vegan friendly.

No American pizza I've ever had!

BEst pizza's - New York for a really thin base.

Or the best are in Chicago - Pizzeria Uno, deep dish, not to be confused with deep pan, a thin base but like a flan, with sides, and then just filled with toppings! I always laugh when I see the ad for "Chicago Town Pizza" as they are as far removed from a chicago pizza as it's possible to be!

For takeaway here - theres a really good local one in my town that is far better than any of the chains.

For sit in meals Pizza Hut, though it isn't for their pizza's. The OH and I usually have the buffet, with salad bar and pasta's.

For a take away, none of them as my local chippie does better pizzas and at a more reasonable price.

Deep pan indeed!

Pizza is supposed to be thin, not some stodgy crap!

Exactly, that's why I used the word 'Americanised'.

I REALLY don't rate Pizza Express. WAY up it's own a*se for what is just a glorified pizzeria (pronounced in true Futurama fashion as Piz-er-re-a).

We have a takeaway chain called Eagle Boys. They are far better than Domino's and Pizza Hut (don't have Pizza Express here but I remember them).

Eagle Boys do a really tasty Satay Chicken pizza.

Stephen Hawking in a piz-er-re-a? That's preposterous!

I rarely frequent these places but on the last couple of occasions I have I used Pizza Hut and it was rather nice.

While I agree they do the best pizza and they were all you could get for a long time, I've always considered them to be very good value for money.

Dominos/Pizza Hut never get a look in as far as I'm concerned

I don't like any of them. Pizza Express I used to enjoy until I went to the one in Ashford and got black specks in the milk for the tea.

Ever since then I have questioned their standards of hygiene and if I want a pizza I make it myself. Cheaper and you know there is no contamination!

I don't remember seeing a kitchen in the Ashford one. But then it is in the sticks and life is different in country towns.
