Thank You Radio DJ
I have recently started to re-listen to the Stereophonics Thanks to Jo Whiley on Radio 1. she did a live lounge tour just before Christmas - and I remembered just how good they are, and tracked down all my CD's.
Also Chris Moyles was raving about Mark Rondon - Version earlier in the year, I had a listen and would like to say Thanks Chris , it's a great album! Have you bought a CD, gone to see a gig, re-visited old bands because of what you have heard on the radio? |

Hi jude, i bought Amy Winehouse cos everyone keeps going on about the album, i think it's good, although i haven't had the time to sit and listen to it properly.
I love Mark Ronson , thought his cover of oh my god, with Lily Allen was great. Adele is an artist to look out for it 2008 i think, she has a great voice. |

stuart mc conie played "they Men They couldn' hang"- The colours" on R2 last year
that album "waiting for bonaparte" was the first cd we got together ( 19 years ago on wed) but was taken in a house robbery ( they took phil collins aswell so they weren't that cool) It's really hard to get hold of the cd so hubby downloaded for me and I play it on my ipod when running as it makes me feel young again |

I pick up a lot of music from listening to Radio 1's specialist music DJ's. They are often very upfront. I listen to Zane Lowe, he plays various genres. Annie Mac and Pete Tong for the dance music. Trevor Nelson and Tim Westwood for the Rap and R'n'B. Fabio and Grooverider for the Drum n Bass and Chris Goldfinger for the Raggae Dancehall. There are loads more all covering wide and varied musical genres.
Most of the music I buy is usually as a result of hearing it on one of those shows.
