Well I weren't gonna post but I just thought it was a little silly to feel sorry for someone else's decision.

Anyways I don't want to turn this into a boring vegetarian vs meat eaters debate so on topic my fave meat before I were veg was chicken and pork.

Actually you are most probably right and I was a bit tounge in cheek but forgot the winking smillie. She has been a vegetarian since she was 6 and is now in her 20's. She realised the duck she was eating was the same as those on the local pond. No more meat for her..........

Has anybody tried Squirrel?

I keep trying to trap one in the garden using nuts under a bucket propped on a stick tied to some string...

Too fast though...

Our local pub makes Ostrich burgers!!

Haven't had one yet. They are not always available on the menu.

I have eaten Ostrich and I was not impressed - it was gamey and weird

I like chicken but it has to be cooked by me, I dont eat it out apart from chinese which makes it nice and tender. If I eat out I like a steak.

I do love fish too, especially scallops and crab, mmmm

Lamb my favourite followed by any other meat, poultry game etc etc with pork the last.

Not to say I don't like pork, just that I like all the others the same but more than pork, and pork is a close last.

Though do really like duck, goose, rabbit, hare ... I like them all, I can't decide any order.

The horror stories about pork freak me out, plus it is so greasy and eew. My Oh loves it when it is done for a roast and the outside is all crisp.

I am not a huge fan of red meat apart from the odd very bloody steak - I hate it well done, I prefer it practically mooing, which does make me feel a bit vile so it is a rare (doh) treat

I am quite good with making veggie dishes that still taste as nice as meat ones - I do a nice lasagne, with quorn and mushrooms and creamy sauce and no-one can tell it from chicken when done like that

I always really look forward to Christmas because my mum usually gets a ham on the bone. She soaks it overnight to get rid of excess salt, then boils it, then takes the rind off leaving just the fat and covers the fat in a mixture of honey and mustard and bungs it in the oven to finish.

When it comes out and has cooled it tastes fantastic and almost melts in your mouth. *drool*

I remember eating crocodile a few years ago and that was nice too.... bit like chicken with a slight fish taste to it

We thought we had one the other day - not to eat I hasten to add.
He'd been eating fungus at the bottom of the garden and did not move when I got near him. His eyes looked glassy and he fell to one side and managed to crawl under the shed.
Just as well. The cat thought she was in luck.
