Actually you are most probably right and I was a bit tounge in cheek but forgot the winking smillie. She has been a vegetarian since she was 6 and is now in her 20's. She realised the duck she was eating was the same as those on the local pond. No more meat for her..........

The horror stories about pork freak me out, plus it is so greasy and eew. My Oh loves it when it is done for a roast and the outside is all crisp.
I am not a huge fan of red meat apart from the odd very bloody steak - I hate it well done, I prefer it practically mooing, which does make me feel a bit vile so it is a rare (doh) treat
I am quite good with making veggie dishes that still taste as nice as meat ones - I do a nice lasagne, with quorn and mushrooms and creamy sauce and no-one can tell it from chicken when done like that
I always really look forward to Christmas because my mum usually gets a ham on the bone. She soaks it overnight to get rid of excess salt, then boils it, then takes the rind off leaving just the fat and covers the fat in a mixture of honey and mustard and bungs it in the oven to finish.
When it comes out and has cooled it tastes fantastic and almost melts in your mouth. *drool*
I remember eating crocodile a few years ago and that was nice too.... bit like chicken with a slight fish taste to it

We thought we had one the other day - not to eat I hasten to add.
He'd been eating fungus at the bottom of the garden and did not move when I got near him. His eyes looked glassy and he fell to one side and managed to crawl under the shed.
Just as well. The cat thought she was in luck.
