Why is she crying? Because he's not eating? Mine didn't eat much in the first couple of days. Think what a upheaval it's been for him to be separated from his family and put into a new place? He's only a baby! It'll be fine. You just need patience

The first few weeks especially are very hard (much like having a newborn baby) but lots of hard work and patience will pay off. there's nothing to worry about, he's bound to be a bit unsettled to start off with. Barney is too, but he'll be fine after a few days.

If this is your first dog try and look into puppy training classes. It will help you and Jaffa learn the basics of obedience and get him socialised with other dogs.

Yes he's been out a lot. He doesn't seem to notice the cold at all.
He did come from a farm mind you and they used to put the pups and Mum out in the barn during the day ,so he's quite a hardy little pup.

Honestly though, a few minutes out for a pee won't harm him.

Hey everyone iv been to the vets, hes had his first set of vaccinations and said he is a really healthy pup he just had alot of wax in his ears,so she cleaned them out 4 him and he looks so much happier now,the vet also gave us some solution to clean his ears with every other day... and last night he was playing with my dad alot and he had quite abit to eat compared to what he normally eats.. and he slept reallly well last night,we put an old piece of clothing into his crate with him that has my mums scent on it and put a hot water bottle inside it,it seemed to help

Thats to be expected though. If a puppy needs to go, it doesn't know that it should hold onto it. As the pup gets older, it will learn.

No, he will learn to stop messing on the floor in his own sweet time. The only thing you can do is install a dog flap, and show him how to use it. That way, if he needs a pee - he can take himself out. Again though, it doesnt happen instantly, it will take him a while to venture out alone.

Yes, you should be taking him out every 20mins, as soon as he has his food and when he wakes up.

I would take him outside when he wakes up for a wee / poo. Then feed him, give it 5 mins and take him out again.

Yeah I'd take him out then bring him back in. Then take him out again after food.

Can't remember, it wasn't long before she was eating more. She was on Hill's dry food at first, recommended by the breeder but she never liked it that much. After a while I started feeding her on the RAW diet, much better.

Dear god no - my greyhound experienced laminate flooring for the first time over Christmas, she looked like she was drunk She's bad enough trying to stay upright and not slip everywhere on tiles, on laminate she was all over the place

I think my greyhound hates me. I have laminate as well, her nails are fairly long but i brought her some dog totes socks... Seems to have done the trick.... (although she sleeps most of the day she's very lazy)
