OVP & Three
Anyone know if Orange OVP will do a match for Three's new tarriffs? Im liking the idea of 500 anytime any network minutes for £25 a month... I'm guessing Orange won't do it tho, and claim they're not 'a competitors tarriff' due to them beign 3G.
Any ideas? |

Yes - it would be lovely to have the '3' tariff without the massive phones required. Orange won't price match it or compete as there simply isn't the competition to their business at this time. Something like only 25,000 '3' phones so far.
If '3' takes off (unlikely for a while yet), then the 4 main operators would probably reduce their tariffs. Hopefully, even if Orange don't try to compete with the other networks, they'll probably offer the tariffs of all the networks via OVP. One solution could be to get a '3' contract and pop the SIM in an unlocked or O2 phone as '3' use the O2 network. However, not sure what type of SIM the new '3' phones use. They've probably worked that out. |
