Anybody recommend really good non stick roasting dishes, the last two roasting dishes I bought from Tesco's have not lasted at all well. Maybe it's not a good thing to put them in the dishwasher but, I have found even using non-stick utensils that the non stick coating has almost completely disappeared. Must have only had the last one less than a year

I found that Teflon flaked from roasting trays and things.

Have now got some enamel ones. I think that enamel is dishwasher safe, though I haven't got one so can't say for sure.

They aren't as non-stick as Teflon, but not bad - and last for ages.

I have a small enamel one so I'll give that a try, I'll maybe invest in a good stainless steel, tho that won't prevent things sticking

You haven't had much response, for some reason.

Have a look at this old thread which I started over a year ago on the same subject. There are some other suggestions on there which may be of interest.

I eventually got some vitreous enamel stuff from Morrisons, which was pretty good - and remarkably cheap.

Diablo I just noticed (on that thread) that my roasting tin is the same as yours from Tesco....dark blue on the outside!

I`ll not be buying another...that's for sure

I have a dark blue roasting tin from Tesco, and I've never had any trouble with it. I've had it about a year. I wonder why mine is ok... how odd.

I definitely don't use a dishwasher, maybe that is all it is, also I don't use any utensils other than wooden ones on it.

For baking, I use those flexible silicon pans, they're great. I don't know whether they do those in roasting pan shapes though...

I don't know but you can buy rolls of silicon that you can cut to shape and use and reuse in your pans. If you use them in a frying pan you don't need any oil! Lakeland do them.

Buy the very, very best that you can afford - I need to replace mine too and I have my eye on one in John Lewis, very heavy duty and about £27.00 but it'll be worth every penny.

Mermaid roasting tins are excellent!! Not cheap but you can heat them to very high degrees!! I believe they use these in Restaurant Kitchens!!
