I don't have soup very often, but my favourite is mushroom soup when I do. I like tomato as well, with some nice fresh crusty bread/baguette dipped in it. Mmmmmmm. I prefer Heinz too.

It is hard to beat Heinz Tomato Soup and I also like Baxters Cream of Vegetable but they don't make it any more or I can't get it. I also used to like their cream of leek.

I make my own. Too many nasty chemicals go into supermarket soup and you are forever reading the ingredients and tutting loudly in horror that people are quite willing to pollute their bodies with chemicals with latin names.

You can buy ready made soup
Why would anybody bother when soup is the easiest thing in the world to make?

Sunday's roast is currently bubbling in the stock pot so it'll be chicken soup this week with whatever veg is going cheap.

I don't eat it that often; we just have a couple of tins of it on standby for when I feel peckish and can't be bothered to cook anything else. It's a nice snack that keeps hunger at bay for a bit. I've not had any for the longest time though.

I tried Tesco's fresh chicken chowder the other day and was pleasantly surprised.

Well, exactly. It's not a sin. I make soup and occasionally buy it.

The fresh soup ranges are actually very good if a little pricey for what they contain.

Tinned is ok, tomato soup actually makes a great base for a restaurant style indian.

I reckon most Covent Garden stuff is nice - I usually stir in a bit of cream and maybe dry sherry too.

Yeah - they're great, I adore the carrot and coriander one.

I used to eat them on a regular basis until I realised how loaded with salt they are , I now make my own, cheap and doesn't take too much time.

Never buy them make all my own soups, mostly tomato and basil, mushroom, celery, french onion. At least I know they are not full of E numbers and chemical enhancers and they also taste better too.

Making my own has to be minestrone, really easy, tasty and cheap, or sweet potato and butternut squash. Bought, probably a Big Soup. All good

Simply Organic chunky vegetable, from the chiller cabinet. Delicious. Also love the Seeds of Change spicy lentil, in the foil pack.

Heinz cream of tomato soup has been my favourite since I was a child. I don't have it very often now as it is so fattening, but occasionally my mouth waters when I spot it in Sainsbury's and I have to treat myself.

Heinz tinned vegetable soup is my all time favourite but I normally only have the low cal Batchelors Mediterranean Tomato one now, 60 cals, just add hot water. That's very tasty too, but I don't like many of the other instant ones.

Yes, I like to make a minestrone! I hated the tinned minestrone so thought I didn't like it (not hate it, just not too keen) but I like to make it.
