i have a sony 32" silver widescreen as shown here
. it has dolby-pro logic sound, so i would like a speaker system to connect up to the T.V. i.e. a centre speaker and a pair of rear speakers to get the full dolby -pro logic experience.

can anyone tell me where to look for a such a speaker system??

Does your tv have outputs for all the speakers that you want?

I had a look on the Sony site for your tv, but couldn't find the one described in your Argos link. This was the closest I could find.

The connectivity documents would seem to imply that you need an AV amp to do what your suggesting or a home cinema solution where you get the DVD player, the 5.1 amp and all the speakers.

There are a number of home cinema solutions available from Pioneer, Sony and even Tesco (£99), it just depends what you want. There's also a couple of threads on home cinema kits on this forum.

Looks like your tv has 'virtual' dolby surround sound, which means it tries to replicate surround effects from it's own internal speakers.

You will have to buy a home theatre system or a/v amp and speakers to get true pro-logic (or 5.1 sound from DVDs). 100s to choose from.

Make sure you get one which is ProLogic2 comapatible as this is said to be better - most new models should be.
