I've got a bit more careful about buying cup a soups.

The one's I used to get had big claims about 33% RDA vitamins etc, then you read the label and see they're full of hydrogenated fat !

Not tried Ainsley's, but then I don't associate him with quality ! (sorry Ains )

Any cup-a-soups are gross as is Ainsley Harriot himself come to think of it, so it figures his soups are too.

I thought his soups might be better quality but they are without doubt the worst soup or possibly anything I've ever tasted (apart from my friends' baked bean and prune curry). I don't know how he can put his name to it.

I tend to stick with Knoor Cup A Soups. The original Oxtail, Tomato, Mushroom and Vegatable flavors.

I got a couple of packets quite a while ago - when Morrisons were doing a BOGOF on them.

They aren't very good, it was mainly the smell which put me off. I'd have assumed that for Ainsley Harriot to put his name on them they'd probably be okay-ish.

However, as Mr Caxton suggests, they probably formulated them first then gave Ainsley a big fat cheque to use his name.

Some of those sauces are OK when you're in a hurry.

But he'd get more money, if his 'range' was tasty, in the long run.

they are full of salt so you need to have a couple of pints of water afterwards..
