Personally I love peppered steak (rib-eye preferable), char-grilled, but rare... Steak cut chips, peas and grilled tomatoes ... *drools*

Fillet - well done!

The best steak I've ever had was in Spain where the chef (who hated cooking well done steaks!!) said the only way to maintain he flavour was to slice the fillet before cooking and cook each slice... It was amazing!!!

Last steak I had was medium rare {mix up in the kitchen and I was starved!!} and that was surprisingly yummy.. Although I'm still a well done girl at heart

I like rib-eye and until recently always ate it well-done and complained that I didn't really like steak My husband pointed out that it's no wonder as well-done takes all the taste out of it and has gradually got me eating it more and more rare. The last one he did was still bloody in the middle and tasted absolutely gorgeous - served with roasted veg and mushrooms cooked with stilton.

Rare as hell. People who have Well Done steaks should be ashamed of themselves.
