I just need some advice really. I've been receiving BT bills registered under somebody else's name but under my address. I rang BT and after holding on for nearly 2 hours was advised to just send the bill back to BT which I did. I then receive a red notice, saying no payment has been made. I then rang again only to be told to send it all back again. This time I sent a covering letter to both BT and Ofcom enclosing copies of the paperwork and explaining the situation. This was 6 weeks ago. I've just got in today and received yet another bill from BT but now a termination notice saying I owe £172.76. Any suggestions as to who I can contact? I don't even have a BT account as I'm a Virgin Media customer. I know the bill is not in my name, but I am concerned an account has been set up under my address and that I've been the only resident here for the past 6 years and bought the house from new.
