I know this might be a silly qustion cause I suspect people will come up with different answers but im looking for a new tv with ful HD. I was just wondering which make people think is the best? Or which as got the most positive reveiws or anything? Ive heard Phillips has a lot of positive reviews but just wanted to come on here and ask.

Thank you in advance

I'm very happy with my Samsung Full HD (46inch). Both on Standard Definition and Hi Def.

In fact I'm amazed by how good a picture it is considering it's at the cheaper end, approx £1300.

You shouldn't go along the lines of which make is best - there's no such thing.

The first thing to decide is what size TV you want/need, that is the most important question. It should be based upon your viewing distance and what you watch (mostly SD or HD).

Then decide what type LCD, Plasma, front/rear projection. If you want a TV smaller than 37" then basically LCD is the only choice.

Then you should decide whether you need full HD - you seem to have made your mind up on that point do you have a good reason for that? For most people full HD isn't necessary (it's only better if it's necessary) for some it's essential.

When you've answered the above questions you are ready to think about what model you want, here it should be what model not which make - most manufacturers have a range of models at different prices.
