i am from Islington, North London and I am expericing super slow internet/download speeds.

I have still wil Homechoice and have the old silver STB and have the 8MB big pack

I have tried rebooting the box, switching it on and off , tv seems not an issue

my download at the mo is going along at 37.9 kbs and so far it has taken 3 hours to download 392MB of 700mb

speedtest.net is showing me to be
dowoading at 91 kb/s
uploading at 446 kb/s

any ideas??

Like you I had the old box and had intermittent problems with speed. Ring them and get the new STB. It gives me better, uninterrupted service and reasonable speed.

From what I can gather from Jane's post you cant get you're STB replaced because they don't have any left!

Ring them anyway as I did this once and they turned the speed up (!) - unfortunately they then came and installed the new STB and it went much slower again!
