How many of you put up with backlight bleed?
I have some backlight bleed on my Panasonic 32LXD700(great TV btw) which takes the form of a yellow 'cloud' in the top left hand corner. However, the whole screen takes on a yellow hue at night which can show through in some dark scenes.
I just wondered how many of you have this problem and do you see it as being bad enough to get a replacment? I find it not too bad sometimes but then again it can get really annoying. |

That sounds like a repair or replace jobbie. Or maybe a connection is loose.

I am hoping for a replacement and waiting for the retailer to get back to me.
At times it doesn't look too bad and then I wonder whether I should just keep it in case the replacement is worse? |

I emailed Panasonic about this problem and they replied saying that some backlight bleed is normal.
This doesn't seem to bode well for a replacment which is what I was hoping for. ![]() I am waiting for the retailer to come and see it next week. I am not sure whether I have any rights to ask for a replacment if I am not happy with it? I have had it a couple of months now and made the retailer aware of the problem after a few weeks. I have started to dread dark scenes as this flipping cloud will appear! |
