MAJOR iPod Related Computer Problems...
JustWonderful

Right, i really need some help urgently!!

I got an iPod at the end of December and started to use it on the 28th- syncing music, downloading musuc videos and games, everything was hunky dory!

Then my computer quite literally died. It said that something was wrong with the operating system. Not good.
Now everything has to be wiped.

At this point i didnt think it was ipod related and needed to charge my ipod up so went to my brothers to charge it up- i plugged in the USB (he doesnt have an ipod if that makes any difference) and it was charging nicely.

That night his computer died on him as well. He could log on but then it froze- the mouse, everything.

He thinks that my ipod has some sort of virus, as that is the only thing linking the the incidents. I searched google and it said something about ipod viruses- but only limited stock in 2006, i brought this new from Amazon.

Is this some spooky coinicidence or not?

I have on the ipod some downloaded music from LimeWire- could this be it?

I did have a Creative Zen Touch with the same music which is why i dont think it is the ipod but cant think what else it could be!

I suggest you post this in Computing & Networks - you will get a quicker and more comprehensive response.

You need to post the operating system too (xp/vista/apple mac etc) and the answers to these 2 questions.
Can you start in safe mode?
How far does it get when you boot up?
