I know most of the dance clips for Season 2 is on Raphael Pungin's website, but a lot of scenes were cut (I know he doesn't have any of the dances for Week 8). I am very happy that BBC America picked up this particular season because of my favorites, Jonathan Roberts and Anna Trebunskaya (US equivalent of Darren Bennett and Lilia Kopylova). The rehearsal footage were hilarious! The first episode aired on January 6th, it airs two hour episodes (with result show) Sunday nights at 8pm (Encore on Wednesdays at 8pm).

Force Ten, I don't know if you can get that on cable or not. I get it through DirectTV where I am. A lot of forum members on the BBC America site are baffled that they are airing the American Version instead of Strictly Come Dancing. We are also confused, but very happy!

I don't really know...it's available to us here in the states for watching British shows. I don't know why they are airing DWTS, instead of SCD.

Oh, sorry, I think I missed the point and didn't realise you were viewing from the States!

We have seen DWTS here - the last series only a couple of days after it was performed live in America, and the previous series was shown sometime before that. Have any of the Strictly series been aired in US?

Unfortunately, no...but we see most of it on YouTube. We were also confused that BBC America aired DWTS, instead of SCD (oddly enough, there are a lot of SCD fans here). We also get updates from people there logging in on the ABC message boards.

My pal in US said he liked Strictly better than dwts, but I think he saw it when he came home (someone had recorded it for him). This was, however, 2006; I thought dwts 2007 was far superior to Strictly 2007, but that was just my opinion. The 2 shows have different priorities - US being more for razz-ma-tazz & the UK more for the technical side.

I agree with you. The votes here usually goes for the most entertaining, the most drama and/or whoever's the underdog...it sometimes really doesn't matter if they really performed or danced around in circles.

Same in Strictly as far as the underdog is concerned! And the judges here are far more outspoken, and you just know as soon as a cruel word (& yes, sometimes they are cruel!) is spoken, there will be load more votes for the recipient!!!
