He said that the guys had been written off at the beginning, but they had improved – especially mentioned Gethin and Kenny.
He would have loved to win, but Alesha is amazing and he loves her to bits. Takes it all with a pinch of salt.
Ben said that people had been charmed and intrigued by the developing rapport between Matt & Flavia. Was there anything going on during the show? Matt said no. Chemistry is necessary when you are dancing and helps the performance.
Ben Asked if he was seeing Flavia and Matt said every day at rehearsals.
They said he was being cagey and read a quote from the Mirror article about the things Matt says he loves about Flavia.
Matt said ‘sweet’ – if people are knocking on doors (even your grandparents’ door) for information, you give them what they want so that they leave you alone.
He said ‘everyone knows’ and it is not an easy situation.
So Ben said that they were an item then.
Matt said yes, but now we are a dance couple and going on the tour.
They said he was evading the issue again and he said he wasn’t.
They said he had a huge smile on his face (true) and that said it all!
He went on to talk about the tour and the competitive sportsmen, especially Darren.

No you're not being cynical. He didnt confirm or deny the romance which makes me think he's keeping the rumour alive for the tour. On the other hand, Alesha has denied her romance with Rob Kanzinky (sorry if spelt wrong). They've tried to pair her up with Matt and it didnt work so they're going for someone who vaguely smiled at her during the show.
Or maybe he is just bearing in mind that Vincent will also be on the tour and trying to be diplomatic

True. If he and Flavia are dating, I wish them well...but keeping the mystique adds to the tour interest.

not only that but.. when they do "come out" it means they'll earn more money from OK for their exclusive.

Thanks beanbean - watched it. A nice interview that Matt handled really well. He's lost some weight though, hasn't he?
