The Sony KDL40W2000 40" HD Ready 1080p digital LCD TV is a little more and has won awards. I mention it because I was weighing it up against the Toshy and went for the Sony. They're both old models now which is why they're more affordable.

You should probably also consider a Panasonic - they seem to win awards from the magazines fairly consistently, usually beating Sony.

Panasonic are usually pretty good with but HD and SD footage. My Panasonic 26" is really good when it comes to SD. Here is the TV I'd choose if I had to buy one today.(although I'm not sure I like the design of the panasonic.heh) http://www.amazon.co.uk/Panasonic-37...9934186&sr=8-1 or http://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-LE40...9935891&sr=8-3 |

I've had the Toshiba 37X3030D since August last year. I cant recommend it enough. I use my PS3 on it to play games and watch Blu-ray movies. Havent had any problems with it. The pictures it produces are great.
Do some research before you take the plunge though. Look through some reviews on-line. Overall I've found this TV gets positive reviews. Nice price for a 1080p TV aswell. |
