I am looking to buy my first DVD player. I have a Toshiba TV ( Dolby Surround (Not 5.1) with a 32" 4:3 screen) and Telewest Digital Cable. From my research and reading this board I am interested in the Scan 2000 DVD Player. It seems to have a stack of features for the money and the lack of Dolby 5.1 won't matter as my TV won't use it anyway. I would be grateful for any advice on this player, or any others I should consider before buying.
I also wanted to ask about Scart connections to the TV. The Tv only has one RGB Scart, the other two are S-Video. The Telewest STB is plugged into the RGB Scart with the Video daisy-chained of the back of the STB. Should I put the DVD on the back of the Video so they all come through the RGB Scart or should I just use S-Video on one of the spare Scarts?
thanks in advance
