I thought she was excellent and should have won. One of the best female voices and all round performers in any talent show. Far better than Kelly Clarkson. Stunningly beautiful as well.
Well it goes to show that the wider public need to buy into you for success...overhyped or enthused excessively by an un-critical fan base can lead to a sharp reality check too.
Elliot seems to be doing quite nicely even though he was relatively in-experienced.
In Taylor's defence, he didn't get any radio play at all, which is crucial if you're going to shift CDs. It's amazing he moved as many as he did without radio, tbh.
Elliott actually got the best deal for him by going independent.

Those two guys were just great!
As for Taylor, I think he's in the same category as Leon - not really that brilliant a singer but wonderfully likeable.
So great to see him up there in the Grammy nominations this year for best album. To be beaten by Herbie Hancock is not a bad thing! I always thought he was brilliant and am so glad his career has just taken off.
Who cares who wins, it's the exposure which is crucial.

Well....I think he's likeable and a brilliant singer .
As for Kat..........couldn't stand her. Gorgeous and could sing. Horrible, irritating stage presence. A dull and boring singing style that I think didn't help her connect, even though she was competent.

I think Paris, Kellie and Mandisa should've beaten her off with a stick, personally.
I really liked Lisa, but she was pretty weak after re-watching some of her performances recently...
