Drat. Still none on this island.

Or does the BBC get hardly any votes from Northern Ireland and decide no one would be interested?

Because no one cares about us. The BBC are happy enough to let us pay the license fee and take our phone vote money, but perish the thought that we might actually be entitled to enjoy the same benefits as the rest of the UK.

Unfortunatly, its nothing to do with the Beeb. The tour is put together completely commercially by a pair of promotion companies. The BBC just licence the name.

I know, I'm just fuming.

I'd heard from Irish that it's actually something to do with the promoters that are being used.

So why do promotion companies think it would be a waste of time and money to come to Northern Ireland? These things never come to NI, and there are some great venues for events like this, and I'm sure they could well get plenty of people coming, even just for a couple of nights.

Its a pure commercial decision! Because of the transportation costs there are always a lot of additional restrictions on things like this. I lived in the Isle of Man for 6 years, and it was the same there.

According to Ian Waite's web site, he and Camilla did a Viennese Johann Strauss Gala in Belfast recently. I know it's not quite the same, but I would have loved to have seen that. Did you go, or are you not a fan of theirs/of Strauss?

I never even heard about it! If I had, I would have gone - love Strauss, and love Ian (and quite like Camilla too, prefer her in ballroom to latin). Drat!

I got excited then

but it still doesn't help me atall

I don't think the places they have chosen for the tour are very fair
I like in Devon and there is nowhere atall in the South West
and its so annoying
because if there was I would be there in shot

I'm really upset Im not able to go

Sadly for you guys on the lovely Emerald Isle it`s all about money......but if Pop and Rock bands manage to play in Dublin or Belfast I can`t see why SCD can`t.
