Anyone else here love eating these type of things? I could add raisins to almost anything, although I hear mixed comments about them being healthy/too sugary.

I feel a bit sad when I say that I could spend a fortune in somewhere like Julian Graves!

Don't start me on Goji Berries...

I love raisins, especially the big juicy Californian ones from Tesco. At present, I'm dieting so trying not to have too many but my favourite "grab-a-quick-snack" at present is a small palm full of those with about 4 Brazil nuts. Just enough to stave off my sugar craving, and I love to have something to scrunch, so the Brazils are good for that (get stuck in my teeth too, so last ages..... ) I also have a handful of raisins sprinkled on my Special K, but I've cut out breakfast, so have it for lunch sometimes instead now.

Maybe a silly question, but can I just ask why you are cutting out breakfast if you are trying to diet? I thought most recommendations for dieters is to eat breakfast?

Not a silly question at all. I know they say you must eat breakfast, but it doesn't work for me. I have been eating breakfast for the past three years which consists of a huge bowl of cereal normally with the raisins, so about 300 cals. So by cutting it out, I save 300 cals a day instantly, and I don't feel hungry, I don't eat anything till at least 1pm. If I eat breakfast, it starts me off wanting to pick all morning too, seems to make me hungrier as soon as I eat anything. My metabolism gets a kick without the food, cos I have to have a thyroxine every morning for underactive thyroid.

I lost three stone 4 years ago by not having breakfast too.
