Just about installed my new system. Pana TH42PX70, ONKYO TXSR605, Denon DVD1940, Two pair of old floor-standing speakers in corners of the room and newly purchased centre speaker. No sub-woofer, I reckon that with all that ancient woofer power from the ancient speaker boxes I don't need one. System needs some fine-tuning (I broke a new optical cable during installation). However, I am absolutely bowled over with the quality of sound and lack of background noise. Though my satisfaction might have something to do with my age and therefore somewhat restricted hearing of the top and bottom regisiters. there goes my ski trip!
