LG 32LC56 - How do I Disable Intelligent Eye?
The Intelligent Eye feature means the TV adjusts its brightness based on the brightness of the room it is in. However it keeps doing it even when the brightness hasnt really changed, and its very annoying.
I want to turn this 'feature' off. I know how to access the service menu, by pressing menu both on the TV and the remote, but the options have very unintuitive names and I dont want to mess anything up by experimenting. PS: I have noticed the brightness adjusts itself to brighter about half a second after the scene in the TV itself is mostly white (i.e. bright). It then goes back to normal as soon as the mostly white scene is over. This seems to me as if the sensor is responding to the light the screen itself is emitting, reflected by the walls back into the sensor. It is a small room. I'd like to know if other owners of this TV are experiencing a similar problem? |

Such stupid features have been included on odd sets since the early 405 days, and have always been a complete disaster.
You shouldn't need the service menu, it should be an option on the normal customer menu - if not get a better TV!. |
